Hi everybody!
Some moments ago I launched the pages about the Semaine d*aviation de Lyon, which took place on May 7th - 15th, 1910.
It was one of the big international meetings of the French season, but it was heavily afflicted by bad weather, accidents and incidents. The most serious accident claimed the life of Gabriel Hauvette, who competed under the pseudonym Hauvette-Michelin. He became the sixth pilot to die in an air accident, and the first to die during a public meeting. The big money winners of the meeting were Louis Paulhan and Charles Van den Born on their Farmans, while Hubert Latham crashed three times in his Antoinette.
You will find the pages here - please enjoy!
