New pages: The 1910 Semaine d'Aviation de Nantes!

Hi everybody, The pages about the 1910 Nantes meeting have been uploaded. It was a relatively minor meeting, with 11 pilots participating. The big star was Léon Morane, who won the 75 km crosscountry event and impressed everybody with his control of his Blériot. Other pilots included Eugène Renaux, ...

Re: New pages: The 1910 Reims meeting!

I've uploaded three new "Planes" photos for the 1910 Reims meeting. Two of the machines, Bouvier's #9 Sommer and Pequet's #21 Sanchez-Besa, have as far as I know never been documented before, and I also replaced the photo of de Mumm's #2 Antoinette with a better one. I found the previously...

Re: List of meets in Germany 1910-1913

The one I have is the 1956 "zweite durchgesehene, verbesserte und erweiterte Auflage", but I think it must have been the first volume.

Re: List of meets in Germany 1910-1913

It only seems to contain the major meetings, though, for example not those of München, Mülhausen or Baden-Baden in 1910.

Re: List of meets in Germany 1910-1913

Hi Carl,
Welcome to the board!
I don't know of any online lists, but Peter Supf's book "Das Buch der deutschen Fluggeschichte" (1956, Drei Brunnen Verlag, Stuttgart) contains a list of 24 German meetings held in 1910-1912.

Re: Bar-le-Duc 1910 airmeeting

I don't have much on that meeting, but here's what "La Revue Aérienne" (1910-09-10) wrote: A Bar-le-Duc. Sur l'initiative de M. Chevallier, maire, et de M. Collin, président de la section de Bar-le-Duc de la Ligue Nationale Aérienne, assisté de M. Petit, trésorier, deux journées d'expérien...

Hi everybody! http://www.thefirstairraces.net/meetings/la1008/images/poster345.jpg It's been almost a year, but here are finally some new pages. The August 1910 Lanark meeting was called the most successful British meeting so far, with the high point being John Armstrong Drexel's world altitude reco...
