Re: 1910 Los Angeles/Dominguez Meet

Sharp eyes, there! Yes, you are right, those photos must be the Gill-Dosh. I didn't look so closely, since I searched for photos of the whole plane for the "Planes" page. Looking for further differences I find the wing tip skids and the wider, lower radiator. I have those WW1 Aero articles...

1910 Heliopolis pages launched!

In February 1910 the first aviation meeting in Africa was held, in the fashionable Cairo suburb of Heliopolis. The biggest names were Hubert Latham, who had a disastrous meeting, and Henri Rougier, who took home more than half the prize money. I just launched the Heliopolis pages . Please enjoy, and...

New "Pilot" pages: Count Charles de Lambert

I've just uploaded another pilot biography.

If you're interested in de Lambert you should also check www.charlesgraafdelambert.nl, where you will find a lot more information about him and his life.

1909 Frankfurt pages updated!

I came across some new photos from the 1909 Frankfurt meeting, so there are some changes on the "Events","Venue" and "Planes" pages.

Photos are still missing for several of the planes, so if you know of any good photos please let us know!

1910 Tours meeting

The official program from the 1910 Tours meeting was available at aeroplanedetouraine.fr, which has a great page about the meeting. It is still available via archive.org.

1909 Brescia meeting

The 1909 Brescia meeting program was available at avia-it.com, but is still available at Internet Archive. It's a 10 Mb pdf file, so it takes a long time to load.

Louis Paulhan was the big star, setting new altitude and cross-country records, while Glenn Curtiss won the speed events. Please enjoy! As usual your comments, additions and correct...

New forum: Updates!

I decided to create a separate forum to keep track of the updates on the main website. Instead of editing and updating a single "latest updates" post I will create a new topic in that forum for every change. I hope this will be easier to follow and will encourage feedback.
